Congressional Deli

Congressional Deli is a hole in the wall gem. I've been going whenever I could due to it being a little far from where I live, but the food is so worth it each time. My personal favorites are the Steak and Cheese, tuna and egg salad sandwiches. I believe they have an updated menu that is not on Yelp so I will upload that the next time I go.
But seriously, if you're in the area and have a craving for a sub or sandwich, I highly recommend it.

Congressional Deli is the best. No second opinion. The food is fantastic and fast. The service is out of this world and all done with a smile. The variety is also pretty expansive. Try the chicken cheese steak. I usually add bacon and avocado. Every dish is served with love. I mean it. Great value. They have a special each day for lunch.

Tried this delis thought I was going to a kosher delis but it's far from this. The food is ok but the atmosphere leaves allot to be desired so this one I'm skipping in the future. Kind of disappointed as it more like an Asian restaurant with some kosher style food. It's very small and dingy at best.

In addition to offering your standard deli cold-cut fare, they have delicious hot sandwiches (paninis, reubens, etc.) and some stupid good Korean offerings as well. The bulgogi and spicy pork subs are a must-try.

I also applaud them for making easily the best french fries I've ever had in Rockville. They prepare them fresh with every order and salt them to perfection - they go great with the sandwiches.

The owners themselves are also SO nice and remember their repeat customers. My partner is Korean so she always chats with them while we place our order and wait for our food.

If I had a complaint it would be that their hours are not the best (they have been closing at 4:30 since the pandemic began), but that's okay. It's primarily a lunch spot and the husband and wife who run it are the only employees. They deserve a break at the end of the day!

Overall a great local business that deserves support.

Enjoyed a really good Reuben from here: flavorful corn beef with molten swiss, tangy sauerkraut on crisp grilled Rye. Pro tip: get the Russian dressing on the side and dip away, much better way to enjoy a Reuben IMO.

Good food. I was skeptical but I have enjoyed every meal here. The onion rings are golden and crispy. Perfect every time!

The woman there that cooked my sub is Korean. The man there didn't look Korean.

I got a bulgogi sub for almost 7 dollars. Sheesh!

I received the sub. They toasted the top and bottom parts of both pieces of bread. The bulgogi was savory, sweet and flavorful. I enjoyed inhaling the sub in less than a minute.

The price was a bit high, but the sub was solid. I really, really liked how they toasted the bread. The texture was just phenomenal and the flavor was great.

This place is a solid 4 stars.

I came here on a Monday afternoon to pickup a quick bite after running errands. Congressional Deli is located right by the Bed Bath & Beyond, parking is not an issue since it shares a huge parking lot with multiple retailers. The cashier was a sweet Korean woman that greeted me as soon as I entered and took my order. I ordered chicken nuggets and fries to go, it was cheap and made to order. I was in and out in about 5 minutes :)

The chicken nuggets were likely frozen and then fried, same with the fries. They do not skimp though, I got a HUGE container filled to the brim. They have alot of menu items and I regret getting such a basic order versus one of their sandwiches that others on Yelp seem to be recommending -_- The staff here were all friendly and food came out quickly. I would definitely come back here for a cheap bite to eat.
